Sorry, car people, the Bushnell ONIX 400 apparently isn’t for you. Your first clue should have been that its from Bushnell, the binocular people. What’s cool here is that this is the first device I’m aware of which combines XM radio, XM’s new NavWeather service, and GPS. The whole kit and kaboodle will be available at Wal-Mart, Amazon, REI, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, and many other retailers some time soon, but not device price was indicated.
On the other hand, we do have service rates. The NavWeather service will run for US$9.95 alone. If you want XM radio and NavWeather, that will cost you US$16.94. If that weren’t enough, there may even be a US$14.95 service activation fee, meaning you may not be lucky enough to register during one of their frequent and aggressive advertising sweeps.
