Did you hear the one about the massive coffee chain who dumped one major wireless carrier for another, namely AT&T? Well, if not, its Starbucks (if you were unable to tell from the title of the story) and since they’ve teamed up with AT&T after ousting T-Mobile they’re getting jiggy with it. Namely in free Wi-Fi for Apple iPhone owners. Mac Rumors has also confirmed this to be the case. They even have blurry images to prove it.

Its now official. Rogers Communications, one of the largest carriers in the Great White North has announced that it will carry the iPhone starting later this year. Ted Rogers, the President and CEO of Rogers had this to say:

“We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”

I’m a huge fan of OQO and what they’ve been able to accomplish with their amazingly small system designs. This, however, is the coolest. Some guy has managed to install Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard” on his OQO, a configuration which isn’t supported by Apple. Its really, really cool, though. He even has some YouTube video. I warn you, the guy doesn’t talk on the video for around two minutes and its blurry, but you should be able to see how wicked cool this is.

I thought this was far from an interesting question when I first saw it on Digg, but soon came to realize that it was anything but mundane. Here, then, is your picture-based answer:

OMG. WTF. LOL. ROFL. HSIWMP!

I have to say that I’m not surprised at this. A significant number of reviewers have stated that the Apple MacBook Pro is, hands down, the best lappy for Windows Vista. What I wonder is how often does Steve really spend on the Mac OS X side.

I must say that I love me some Mike Rowe, the host of Discovery Channel’s hyper popular show, Dirty Jobs. Mike goes around to work on jobs around America and show everyone the filthy jobs people do which make our lives easier, and some are quite nauseating. It appears that I, too, have a job which is unpleasant but the results of which are coveted by people; reviewing products.

Why do I have this job? I cannot tell a lie, but I do what I do because I love gadgets and small gear and I enjoy having such stuff around me. I started in 2001 with PDA Handyman and migrated to the new name in 2007. In the seven years I’ve been online and expressing myself I’ve reviewed at least 200 products. No, not one of those reviews has ever involved gutting a fish, scooping poop, or scraping barnacles, but on occasion I get some really thick and noxious mud slung at me. As Macs continue to grow acceptance in corporate environments, the Macs need to support the network technologies in place. Enter ProSoft Engineering and the latest version of their NetWare Client for Mac OS X, offering complete integrated and contextless login functionality and a fully compliant print services interface. All that says you can turn off AppleTalk support on your NetWare network and still service Macs. Nice. Client cost is US$149 per seat.
