The green little smiley face to the left is the conceptual interface design on the new idea about how we use and consume energy. The idea, called Green Plug, is designed from the ground up to change the way our devices and systems consume power, and if you couldn’t already guess, in an ecologically responsible fashion. Typical power supplies leak energy when not in use, but the Green Plug system is designed to tightly control exactly what gets how much power and when.

Green Plug has already designed the chipset and is offering it to companies to integrate into their device and system designs, however, there is no list of vendors who’ve signed on just yet. Hopefully there will be some soon.
