If you’re a Sony fan and you like the PlayStation Portable, aka the PSP, then you may be interested to find out that Sony will purportedly be releasing the new model this coming Tuesday. The PSP-3000 looks to be curvier and more compact than its previous form factor. Personally, I thought the first version was just plain fugly. I’ve also never quite understood why Sony continues to place the analog joystick near the bottom edge of the device where its much harder to get a feel for it. There’s no idea of pricing, though the norm is to price it at the same as the previous model’s MSRP. Sony may also retain the older model for a tad and offer it at lower prices.
