ZodTTD Gets Early Look At iControlPad
I’m going to take it that you enjoy your iPhone and/or iTouch, not only for how it works, the music, and the video capabilities, but also for its entertainment capabilities. There’s something missing, however, in a gaming console (Apple admits it, so I’m not making it up) which only offers touch and accellerometer-based input. Gaming needs something more as evidenced clearly by the well established video game console market. Some other guys thought so, too, so they created the iControlPad. Some other people with money liked the idea, so its going to get made into a product. As you can see from the image of the prototype it sports a control pad, four action buttons, and what look like ovals for a pair of speakers, but are really Start and Select buttons (feh). The iControlPad team has stated that its now out for production and that the final version will support the original iPhones and iTouches, all in one unit. Very nice. Too bad there’s no indication of pricing or availability yet. [Source: ZodTTD]
