MacRumors MacWorld Keynote Feed Hacked

This item was filled under [ General News ]

I’m periodically amazed at the lengths hackers will go to do something stupid. What they are doing now is hacking MacRumors live blog feed from the MacWorld keynote. The first comment indicated that Steve Jobs had died, which is untrue. Then comes the ownership from 4CHAN.ORG and/or /G/URUS Here’s a screencap from before they went down entirely (WARNING: There’s some NSFK language in there):

just an fyi ~ It wouldn’t be “4chan or /g/urus” because the /letter/ syntax denotes boards on 4chan.

Either way, I guess it’s kind of funny, but at the same time pretty childish and pathetic.

    pathetic? stupid? no way.

what 4chan did was incredibly insightful on so many levels. if these apple fanboys had any brains, they would have never allowed the feed to become compromised.

What pathetic life form spends time hacking a website’s live feed to spread a stupid cliche rumor? These mother’s basement dwellers should just go back to reading Ron Paul’s book and eating Cheetos in their bathrobe.
