George W. Inherited 9/11 And Recession? In Which Alternate Timeline?

This is about as insane as you get, and I’m truly hoping that Grand Old Partiers will turn start complaining loudly about some of their higher ranking members. I’m okay with apologists, but this is sheer revisionist. Get this… Mary Matalin, a GOP mouthpiece who has the distinction of not moving her mouth when she speaks, has just claimed that George W. Bush inherited the 9/11 attack on our country, which killed over 4,000 people, and the recession, which has pushed out unemployment numbers higher than they’ve been since the Great Depression.

Here’s a history lesson, kids. George W. was sworn into office on January 20th, 2001, one of the dorkest… er, darkest… in our countries history. 9/11 happened on September 11th, 2001, seven and a half MONTHS after his swearing in. Smart money people peg the beginning of the effects which would eventually turn into the recession we know and love to be March 2001. Personally, I don’t care if GW gets written out of this history books altogether and I’m almost as blase about the recession, but I will never let him off the hook for 9/11 and his subsequent treatment of that and the horrible position its put the US in. Dick.
