Ask The HandyMan: Advanced Multimedia

Are you aware of any software that would enhance the "digital recorder" Quite a few people are starting to look towards PDAs as a mobile solution for all kinds of things related to music and music production. There are even a few companies that are listening and producing tools for the musician on the go. Of course, this is the World Wide Web, and if someone's interested in a specific subject there is likely a site about it. Enter Beamuzik, a small site dedicated to mobile music production and music related links for PDAs of all breeds. One of the companies that makes PDA software for musicians (and whose products are listed on Beamuzik) is PDA Musician. If you own a Casio BE-300, the site has information about how to use their products on that unique PDA. Unfortunately, there do not seem to be any hardware accessories that would allow a PDA to be used as a digital recording device. Perhaps, in the very near future, there will be such peripherals. Until then, there are quite a few tools to choose from. I hope that helps, Gerald. If anyone has a question for the HandyMan, drop him a line at this address. Email This Story
