Afghan Wireless Offers GSM In Mazar-i-Sharif Citizens of the Northern region of Mazar-i-Sharif now have access to a GSM wireless network thanks to Afghan Wireless, New York based Telephone Systems International, and Afghanistan's Ministry of Communications. The new network adds to the one installed earlier this year in Kabul. Women are still treated poorly, despite the ousting of the Taliban regiem.
