Golden State Cellular and Digit Wireless have announced that the California State wireless carrier has licensed Digit's Fastap technology for future handsets.

ANALYSIS: If you haven't seen the Fastap keyboard, you should go take a look. While it won't overtake products like the supremely usable Pocketop keyboard for PDAs, it should make a dent in the productivity sapping mobile handset market. So far, this makes two wireless carriers, the first a Canadian concern, for Digit Wireless. Once the smaller markets prove the concept on a larger scale, we should see it move into more global acceptance. I, for one, can't wait!
