Enfora Unveils GSM/GPRS Module
Posted by Tyler Regas on September 23, 2002 11:09 AM Enfora, well known for their Pocket Spider CDPD products, has announced the availability of their new Enabler-G GSM/GPRS wireless module. The current iteration supports 900/1800MHz, but Enfora states that they are close to 1900MHz certification. The device has an integrated SIM slot, fully supports GSM, supports GPRS up to Class 12, and has integrated 16550 UART serial I/O. Enfora will release a firmware upgrade to add embedded TCP/IP, UDP, and PAD functionality at an unconfirmed date.
