iChip To Support Switchable 802.11b and GPRS
Posted by Tyler Regas on October 30, 2002 10:41 AM Connect One today announced its plan to introduce new functionality for its iChip Plus Internet Controller chip that will support the PRISMR 2 chip set from Intersil Corp. for switchable 802.11b wireless LAN connectivity. This is in addition to iChip's current support for GPRS. This function set will allow devices to move from system to system without requiring a hardware swap by the user.
