Microchip Technology has announced two new PICmicro Flash microcontrollers, 14-pin devices that feature an analog-to-digital converter, internal oscillator, and comparator. Asynchrony Solutions has announced the beta release of PDA Defense Professional for the Palm Tungsten T. PDA Defense can secure information on a lost or stolen device by requiring password authentication and employing strong encryption as well as fail-safe bit-wiping options. SplashData has announced the availability of SplashPhoto 3.5 which has been optimized for Palm OS 5.0 on the Tungsten T. Other improvements have also been made. Pricing is set at US$19.95.
