Intel Debuts PXA26x Series CPUs
Posted by Tyler Regas on November 03, 2002 01:13 PM Intel has announced the availability of sample quantities of their new PXA261 and PXA262 processors for wireless telephony applications. The PXA261 is a 200 MHz processor stacked on top of a single 128Mb StrataFlash memory chip. The PXA262 100-300MHz processor stacks two 128Mb chips for 256Mb of memory. Of course, this also marks one of the first implementations of Intel's new StrataFlash memory architecture. Intel is also offering development boards for the DBPXA250 development system. Production volumes are expected Q1 2003. Per part pricing in volume is expected to be US$36.10 for the PXA261, US$54.60 for the PXA262/200, and US$62.60 for the PXA262/300. Email This Story
