Hitachi Debuts RS-MMC Cards
Posted by Tyler Regas on December 05, 2002 11:03 AM Hitachi has officially announced the availability of their new Reduced Size MMC (RS-MMC) Flash memory storage form factor, available in 16, 32, and 64MB sizes. The company plans to release 128 and 256MB versions in late 2003. The cards conform to the new RS-MMC form factor standard which was introduced to follow ever shrinking consumer devices and limited space. Hitachi is offering parts to OEMs (non-US link) at the following volume prices: 16MB, US$14; 32MB, US$18; 64MB, US$28. Parts are avialable now.
