Parker Hannifin To Demo Bluetooth Automation
Posted by Tyler Regas on December 11, 2002 02:22 PM Parker Hannifin, an international supplier of motion and control systems, will be demonstrating the use of a Pocket PC device equipped with a Socket Bluetooth card to operate one of the companies Moduflex Bluetooth enabled pneumatic valve islands. The demonstration will illustrate how a plant operator can walk up to a valve island and wirelessly actuate it from their handheld device. While we find this type of advance both expected and intensely cool we temper that with a reminder that not all wireless networks are secure. Parker Hannifin will be in booth #410 at the currently running Bluetooth Developer Conference being held at the San Jose Conference Center in San Jose, California. Email This Story
