New York Rep. Pete King (R) felt that the Camera Phone Predator Alert Act of 2007 didn’t get a fair shake, so he’s renamed it… the Camera Phone Predator Act of 2009 or CPPAA. They should call it CRAPA, the Cameraphone Republicanization Against People Act. While such an Act would fly in the face of our freedoms as Americans (much like the entire G. W. Bush administration) its not surprising to see Republicans working towards the implementation of such restrictions of Mortal Americans (read: citizens who are not politicians).

Bush has left Washington D.C. and is heading back to Texas now. Soon, the Inaugural Parade will head from the Capitol to the White House. I personally welcome President Obama as my President and Commander In Chief.

This is a blog and I write it, so there’s nothing wrong with the periodic rant now and then, and when the quality of American life is at stake, I can’t remain silent. I’ve seen the decline in the quality of communication and the increase in American’s sense of entitlement, mostly through Craig’s List. Complain if you like, but I believe that CL is a clear indicator of what people want and expect these days, and the recession (or whatever Bush wants to call it) isn’t having a significant impact on what people expect to get.
